Eternity is the afterlife love triangle rom-com starring Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner and Miles Teller

It looks like Callum Turner’s never-ending Euro Summer with fiancé Dua Lipa has officially, well, ended – since his latest film project Eternity is set to drop soon.

Starring alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Miles Teller, the new movie is yet another hotly-anticipated release from production company A24, known for its independent hits such as Moonlight and Everything Everywhere All At Once.

So far, we have a poster, a short trailer and an intriguing plot line. In a nutshell, the story is set in the afterlife – where souls are given a week to decide where and how they want to spend eternity. Don’t worry, we’re told it’s a fun one. Here’s everything we know so far about rom-com Eternity

What is the plot of Eternity?

Per IMDB, Eternity will see lead character Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) arrive in the afterlife, only to find that she has to choose between spending eternity with her long-term partner or her childhood sweetheart. It is directed by Irish writer and director David Freyne.

The plot line reads: “In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with and her first love, who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.”

Elizabeth herself has described it as a “special rom-com” when talking to Extra TV back in February, adding: “It’s real fun. It’s a call-back to Billy Wilder films… I’m excited for it to come out this year.”
