Russia strikes EU delegation building in Kyiv

Russia struck a building housing the EU’s delegation to Kyiv Thursday morning, causing significant damage.

“I strongly condemn these brutal attacks, a clear sign that Russia rejects peace & chooses terror,” the EU’s Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos said in a statement on social media.

“Our full solidarity goes to EU staff, their families, & all Ukrainians enduring this aggression,” she continued.

The EU’s Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova said the building was “severely damaged by the shock wave” of the “massive” wave of drone and ballistic missile strikes Russia launched at Ukraine overnight, in which she said at least 10 people had been killed and 30 injured.

This is a developing story.

LP Staff Writers

Writers at Lord’s Press come from a range of professional backgrounds, including history, diplomacy, heraldry, and public administration. Many publish anonymously or under initials—a practice that reflects the publication’s long-standing emphasis on discretion and editorial objectivity. While they bring expertise in European nobility, protocol, and archival research, their role is not to opine, but to document. Their focus remains on accuracy, historical integrity, and the preservation of events and individuals whose significance might otherwise go unrecorded.
