Prince Harry‘s latest trip to the United Kingdom has been widely described as a success, marked by his return to public engagements and a long-awaited reunion with his father, King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex, who had not seen the monarch for 19 months amid ongoing security disputes with the Home Office, was photographed arriving at Clarence House, where father and son shared tea in a private meeting lasting just under an hour.

While the content of their conversation has not been disclosed, reports suggest the visit may signal a shift in how Harry envisions the future for his family.

Friends of the Duke told the Daily Mail that he is eager for his children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three, to spend more time in Britain and eventually pursue their education there.

“I can tell you that Harry wants to educate the children here in the UK,” one friend told the paper, adding that the Duke sees a gap in their lives compared to their cousins.

“Harry feels his children are missing out on the extensive family network that their niece and nephews are enjoying.”

Ties to tradition and schools of his youth

According to those close to him, Harry‘s view is shaped by his own upbringing. He maintains strong ties with friends from his school days at Ludgrove and Eton, relationships he credits as central to his sense of belonging.

“Harry wants his children to have the very best education. He has retained his closest friendship group of confidants from his days at school at Ludgrove and Eton. He wants that for his own children,” the source explained.

The idea has reportedly been well received by King Charles, who is said to be “delighted” at the possibility.

Such a move could bring Archie and Lilibet closer to the royal family at a time when relations between Harry and the monarchy have been under strain.

However, the decision is not solely Harry‘s to make. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is thought to be less enthusiastic about the notion of boarding schools, which she is said to view as unnecessarily harsh.

Friends of the couple suggest there would need to be “some negotiation” between the Duke and Duchess before any plans are finalized.
