Donald Trump is reportedly planning to invite the British royals across the pond, following his successful UK state visit last week – and it’s prompted one huge question.

For those who need a reminder, the US President spent two full days in the UK, where he was treated to a carriage ride through Windsor Castle gardens and a lavish state banquet.

The Republican leader and his wife Melania got to spend time with not only King Charles III and Queen Camilla, but also Prince William and Kate Middleton.

And it seems like he had a great time as Trump is already planning to invite the royals over to the White House to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence next year on July 4th.

According to The Independent, the Prince of Wales will attend in place of his dad if the King’s busy schedule does not allow the time.

However, the news of the supposed upcoming visit has caused a big question to pop up – if Charles does go to the US, will he make time to meet with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their two children?

For those who need a reminder, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex fled the UK in 2020 after resigning from their royal duties, citing mistreatment and even bullying from a number of senior royals.

But, their relationship seemingly began to take a positive turn after Harry said in May that he didn’t want to fight with his family and would ‘love reconciliation’.

And earlier this month, during a visit to the UK, Harry sat down with his dad for afternoon tea, meeting with him face-to-face for the first time in 19 months.

It seemed to have gone well, as when he was quizzed later that day by a reporter about how the King is, Harry was in good spirits as he replied: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

Taking to Reddit to question whether the King may stop off in California to visit his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, one user wrote: “Will King Charles make time for Prince Harry, Meghan and the children if he does go to the USA?”

While someone else replied: “No he won’t he only spent 55 mins with him face to face. Trump spent 2 days with the King, lol!”

And a second added: “He wouldn’t make the time when they lived in England, so…no.”

Looking into the logistics, someone else pointed out that ‘DC and LA are farther apart than any 2 spots in the UK’ and ‘people outside of the US forget just how big this country is’.

They wrote: “If the King’s business only takes him to DC, he’d have to add on another trip out to California. I’m not 100% upon US or UK protocols over a visit of this sort, but that seems a bit more difficult that arranging for a quick tea in the same city where Harry was spending much of the time, already.”

Adding: “If anything, it would likely be easier for Harry and the family to meet the King in DC or a surrounding area.”

Until anything official is announced, we’ll just have to wait and see!
