Why “LP Staff Writer”?
From time to time, Lord’s Press elects to publish under the institutional byline LP Staff Writer. This practice honours a longstanding editorial convention and reflects circumstances where:
- Articles are crafted through collaborative editorial processes, drawing from court circulars, primary documents, and multiple contributors;
- The identity of the contributor must remain confidential, particularly in cases involving royal households, state archives, or legal petitions;
- Pieces are adapted or drawn from the Lord’s Press Historical Register, where anonymity is customary and authorship belongs to the publication rather than the individual.
This byline is not a placeholder, but a mark of editorial trust—denoting collective authorship, verified research, and a standard of excellence.
