Selena Gomez’s Wedding Look Proves You Don’t Have to Ditch Your Signature Style on Your Big Day

When did being a bride become so stressful? The countless decisions quickly begin to feel endless: the where, the when, and, perhaps most importantly of all, the what to wear. It’s natural for brides-to-be to daydream of their bridal look. Somehow, magically, I will look the best I’ve ever looked, brides often find themselves thinking. And naturally, they think, that will mean wearing a dress, a hairstyle, and a makeup look that is better than anything I’ve ever worn before.

But what if looking your best simply meant… sticking with what you already know works. Selena Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco, which took place over the weekend, is proof that sometimes, your signature style is not actually the boring, underwhelming wedding option we all think it is. What if sticking to your tried and tested style was, in fact, the secret to nailing the effortless, but beautiful bride look we all daydream of.

In photos of her wedding look shared on Instagram, Gomez showed off her stunning draped Ralph Lauren halter dress. It featured a wrapped bodice, an embellished halter neckline and a glamorous skirt that pooled around her ankles.

As for her beauty, she opted for a glamorous old Hollywood wavy bob in a deep side-part and a simply rosy makeup look. She looked stunning. But she also looked an awful lot like she always does. In fact, for her wedding dress, her hair style, and her makeup look, Gomez seemingly went for three looks that she’s already tried — many, many times.

In recent months, Gomez has rocked a number of other glam halter neck gowns. She wore a bright red halter dress to a friend’s wedding in August. Earlier this month, she wore another bright red halter dress to the Emmys.
