Donald Trump was caught in a hot mic moment trolling Mark Carney while Sir Keir Starmer watched on awkwardly.
The two world leaders shared a giggle together after the US President mistakenly called the Prime Minister of Canada the President after he addressed leaders at the “Summit for Peace”.
“Well, I’m glad you upgraded me to president,” Mr Carney joked, just as Mr Trump shot him a smile.
“At least I didn’t say governor,” the President joked, jovially hitting Mr Carney’s arm.
The mischievous banter between the two was subsequently picked up by mics and cameras scattered around the room.
Mr Trump’s words have appeared to be a thinly-veiled swipe at former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, who was the subject of the Republican’s criticism in Mr Trudeau’s final months as leader.
The President often took to calling the PM “governor Trudeau” while he flirted with making Canada the 51st state of America.
Mr Trudeau stepped down from his premiership earlier this year in January when his poll ratings started to dwindle, compounded by increasing tensions with America over tariffs.
Following the election, Mr Carney became the 24th Prime Minister of the nation, serving as leader of the Liberal Party and a local MP.
In the past, he was Governor of the Bank of Canada for five years until 2013, later becoming the Governor of the Bank of England for seven years until 2020.
In the rest of the speech delivered by the Potus in a historic address in Egypt, the American President listed a number of leaders – leading to an awkward moment between him and Sir Keir.
He mentioned the likes of French President Emmanuel Macron, noting his “low-key” approach by sitting in the audience instead of standing up behind Mr Trump.

Later, the Republican praised the Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, saying: “Oh Viktor, where is Viktor? We love Viktor. Veektor, I call him, put the little accent on it.
“You are fantastic. I know a lot of people don’t agree with me, but I’m the only one that matters. You are fantastic.”
He then moved onto Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, calling her a “beautiful young woman”.
“Italy. We have a woman, a young woman who’s – I’m not allowed to say it because usually it’s the end of your political career if you say it – she’s a beautiful young woman,’ Mr Trump gushed.
“Now if you use the word beautiful in the United States about a woman, that’s the end of your political career, but I’ll take my chances.”
When he got around to mentioning the UK, his interaction with Sir Keir Starmer has been the subject of widespread criticism after his awkward encounter with the leader of the free world.
The Labour leader was showered with kind words from the ex-businessman, including being called his friend, asking: “Where is United Kingdom, where is my friend, Starmer?”
Sir Keir responded: “I am right behind you as usual.” In an uncomfortable turn of events, the PM subsequently walked up to Mr Trump’s podium, as if to speak after Mr Trump said: “Come up here, is everything going good?”
“Very good,” Sir Keir said, smiling, before slowly walking back to his original place behind Mr Trump.
