‘We’re better than that!’ Stephen Dixon unleashes furious tirade over Maccabi Tel Aviv fan ban

Stephen Dixon unleashed a scathing attack on the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from a match against Aston Villa next month.

It emerged on Thursday that the fans of Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv would be barred from their fixture against Aston Villa on November 6 in Birmingham.

The GB News star fumed: “It’s just a disgrace. You don’t allow the mob to rule.

“Which is essentially what’s happened in this case,” co-host Ellie Costello chimed.

“What does it say about Britain? What message does this sent to Jewish people, not only in this country, but also people who want to visit Britain?” Ellie added.

“Are we saying you’re not welcome here? Or you can come, but we can’t keep you safe here. I mean, neither of those messages are good.”

“We’re better than that,” Stephen blasted.

Writers at Lord’s Press come from a range of professional backgrounds, including history, diplomacy, heraldry, and public administration. Many publish anonymously or under initials—a practice that reflects the publication’s long-standing emphasis on discretion and editorial objectivity. While they bring expertise in European nobility, protocol, and archival research, their role is not to opine, but to document. Their focus remains on accuracy, historical integrity, and the preservation of events and individuals whose significance might otherwise go unrecorded.
