Miley Cyrus Just Wore Her Natural Waves, And We’re Getting Major Nostalgia

When it comes to hair, we’ve learned to expect the unexpected from Miley Cyrus. From bleached punk pixies to jellyfish cuts, the singer loves a statement style – but this week, she was spotted wearing her natural waves.

In an off-duty moment in LA, Cyrus was seen in straight-leg jeans and a boxy jacket, but her effortless hairstyle made the look. She’s sporting major length and natural texture in her loose, bouncy waves—plus some flattering face-framing layers in place of her recent micro bangs. We’ve seen Cyrus’s hair both tightly slicked back and teased to the nines on her latest red-carpet rotations, but her street-style moments have been few and far in between. By the looks of it, she’s spent her time out of the spotlight perfecting her wavy-hair routine.

Cyrus’s current hair has us feeling especially nostalgic for her OG Disney Channel character Miley Stewart’s long brunette waves – and every time they dramatically tumbled out of that iconic blonde wig on Hannah Montana. With high-contrast Y2K blonde highlights threaded through her natural caramel colour, she’s bringing the “Best of Both Worlds” into autumn 2025.

In a summer interview on Sirius XM, Cyrus teased that she wants to do something “really special” in tribute to Hannah Montana for the show’s 20th anniversary in 2026. And while fans’ imaginations are running wild with tour fantasies, we’re still not sure what that’s going to look like. In the meantime, we’re all about Miley Cyrus returning to her roots – literally and figuratively.
