Justin Bieber’s Response to Hailey Bieber’s Vogue Cover Has Divided the Internet

Maybe this is one of those situations where a couple has its own sense of humour that doesn’t make perfect sense from the outside? After his wife, Hailey Bieber, appeared looking happy, healthy, and gorgeous on the cover of the June 2025 issue of Vogue, Justin Bieber took to Instagram to congratulate the model on the achievement in a sort of backhanded way.

“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight, I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue, Yikes I know, so mean, For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even..” he wrote on Instagram, posting the cover and one of the shots from the editorial. First of all, it’s a little bit funny to think about the world of celebrity where “you will never be on the cover of Vogue” is a legitimate insult, but also, Justin is correct that this is a mean thing to say to one’s wife.

He continued online, “I think as we mature we realise that we’re not helping anything by getting even, we’re honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection,” which is true but not super pertinent to his wife’s big moment. Thankfully, he wrapped it up with, “So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken.” We’re assuming that by “sadly mistaken” he means “very mistaken” and not that he is sad that Hailey made the cover.

Predictably, this post has divided the internet, and fans are flooding Bieber’s post with comments like “I love you Justin but what the fuck 😂,” “You shoulda kept that to yourself baby,” “You couldn’t waterboard this information out of me lmao,” and “😂😂keep this man off the internet.” Nothing so far from Hailey Bieber, though.

FWIW, in the actual Vogue profile, Mr. Bieber spoke highly of his Mrs. “She’s in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art, and fashion. And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy,” he told the outlet via email, adding, “I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life, but the smartest thing I’ve ever done was marry Hailey.”

On Stories, he was also straightforwardly supportive of his wife, reposting an image announcing that the Rhode line of cosmetics products is coming soon to Sephora and writing, “damn I know u been excited for this babesss.” Hopefully he never said “you’ll never get Rhode to Sephora” in a fight.
