There are many striking antique Jewels coming up for Auction this month, with  a Diamond Star Tiara and several Antique and Art Deco Brooches going on Auction in the Sotheby’s ‘Fine Jewelry’ Sale in Geneva tomorrow!

Diamond Brooch

Estimate: 4,000 – 5,500 CHF

A Diamond Brooch, the slightly bombé openwork plaque of combined foliate and geometric design, millegrain-set with old European- and single-cut diamonds, accented by baguette diamonds, 1920s.

Pearl and Diamond Necklace

Estimate: 4,000 – 5,500 CHF

A Natural Pearl, Cultured Pearl and Diamond Necklace, the front featuring a detachable openwork plaque of foliate design set with old mine- and rose-cut diamonds, centring a button-shaped natural pearl and suspending a drop-shaped cultured pearl, to a graduated trellis of knife-edge linking decorated with bows and set with similarly shaped diamonds, circa 1880.

Diamond Tiara

Estimate: 30,000 – 50,000 CHF

A Diamond Tiara, designed as a graduated series of detachable stars set old mine-cut diamonds, with five brooch fittings from the late 19th century.

Labradorite and Diamond Devant-de-Corsage

Estimate: 4,800 – 6,500 CHF

A Labradorite and Diamond Devant-de-Corsage designed as a bow set with old mine-cut diamonds centring a cabochon labradorite, suspending a similarly set detachable pendant further enhanced with a pear-shaped diamond, accented by rose-cut diamonds, circa 1880.

Diamond Brooch

Estimate: 4,800 – 6,500 CHF

A Coloured Diamond and Diamond Brooch designed as a floral spray set with old European- and single-cut diamonds, featuring a flowerhead set en tremblant, centring a stamen set with a similarly shaped diamond of brown tint, the rosebud collet-set with a rose-cut diamond,  from the late 19th century.

Two Topaz and Diamond Brooches

Estimate: 8,000 – 12,000 CHF

Two Topaz and Diamond Brooches comprising: a shield-shaped brooch centring a collet-set oval topaz within a surround of old mine- and single-cut diamonds; and a brooch designed as a floral spray set with pear-shaped topazes and circular- and single-cut diamonds, 19th century.

Gold, Opal and Diamond Tiara

Estimate: 8,000 – 12,000 CHF

A Felix Bresler Gold, Opal and Diamond ‘The Dawn Tiara’, designed as a textured gold foliate spray featuring budding flowers embellished with drop-shaped opals and old cushion-shaped, briolette and single-cut diamonds, previously offered at the Sotheby’s ‘Fine Jewellery’ Sale in Geneva in May.

The Danish jewellery artist Felix Breseler was born in 1963. He trained as a goldsmith in Copenhagen and completed his formation at the Staatliche Zeichenakademie Hanau, Germany. Subsequently he worked in Australia for three years, before returning to Denmark where he joined the main studio of Georg Jensen and also collaborated with Arje Griegst. Since 1994, Felix Bresler has been an independant jewellery artist with a studio located in the heart of Copenhagen. He mainly draws inspiration from nature and fantasy works of fiction, which reflect in his work in the form of free-flowing and organic designs.
