POLL OF THE DAY: With the Budget imminent, is it wise for the Prime Minister to attend G20?

Sir Keir Starmer this morning touched down in South Africa for his 42nd international trip since entering No10 last July.

However, with tax rises just around the corner, the Prime Minister has been asked if making the 11,000-mile round trip is the right decision.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves will on Wednesday look to plug a £40billion blackhole by hiking taxes.

On the way to Johannesburg, Sir Keir said: “If you want to deal with the cost of living and make people better off with good, secure jobs, investment from G20 partners and allies is really important.

“Those discussions from those relations … are measured in real jobs back in the UK that are really important when the economy and the cost of living is the most important thing.”

Now, GB News is asking: Is the Prime Minister right to go to South Africa?
