Autumn/winter 2025 has seen all-black outfits make a return courtesy of Chanel and McQueen, frothy tulle looks thanks to Dior and Louis Vuitton, and a suede trend take over the city streets.
Suede, in all its buttery soft glory, has undoubtedly been the fashion set’s favourite fabric this season (yep, even above regular leather). Though it’s not the most practical in our unpredictable British climes – trust me, you’ll want to familiarise yourself with the weather app before stepping out in your new suede shoes – we’ve all fallen in love with it.

It actually began last year when suede jackets became a uniform for anyone with a finger on the pulse – quite frankly if you didn’t own one, you felt rather left out. Now, as the material infiltrates the other realms of our wardrobes, suede has more than proven its enduring power.
In the past week alone I’ve spotted stylish women with suede work bags on the tube, witnessed fellow Glamour editors wearing suede trousers with those viral lace-trim camis peeking out beneath their knitwear, and have pinned countless pics of chic influencers in suede skirts and denim jackets on Pinterest.
While an all-suede look is the ultimate boho move, you don’t necessarily need to go in head first. Ahead, I’ve broken down five ways to wear the suede trend – and have even roped in some colleagues to show you how to style them too…
Suede jackets/suede coats
A suede jacket or a suede coat is the easiest way to incorporate the trend – and the most popular still. I wear my Topshop patch pocket style at least once a week, pairing it with everything from a mini skirt and cowboy boots to straight-leg jeans and a T-shirt. If the traditional tan hue of a suede jacket feels less wearable to you, go for something darker like chocolate brown or black.
