What are the benefits of the Omnilux LED face mask?
If I’m totally honest, I was sceptical of LED light therapy at first – after all, how much difference could a few lights strapped to my face actually make? But having seen the results first hand, I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed by the Omnilux device.
After a couple of weeks of being strict with myself and ensuring I actually stuck to using it, I noticed that my skin was looking calmer and less reactive, and it was glowier, too – which is no mean feat given I’ve been dealing with very stressful flat moves which feel like they’re zapping the life out of me and my skin.
The redness and sporadic breakouts that I usually battle softened, my skin looked a whole lot more even and everything just felt much fresher. As expected, the difference is subtle at first but it’s the sort of subtle that made me want to keep going.
I also began to look forward to the ten minutes of time out three or four (sometimes more) times a week. I was able to just sit, zone out, and decompress, all well knowing I was doing something for the greater good of my skin. Of course, I still have fine lines, but my skin feels plumper, and while there isn’t an instant change in my skin, I know that the longer I stick with this routine, the better my results will be.

My verdict on the Omnilux Contour Face:
While the Omnilux mask is flexible and lightweight, which makes it really comfortable, it doesn’t quite feel as high-tech as some other masks, including the Shark CryoGlow. That one packs in more LED lights (132 in Omnilux vs 480 in Shark), it has multiple light modes – including blue light for blemishes – and even a really effective under-eye cooling feature, so if you’re somebody who wants an all-singing, all-dancing device, this Omnilux offering might feel a little pared back.
However, the Omnilux one is brilliant if your main concerns are ageing and inflammation, but if you’re battling puffiness and breakouts, or if you just love a beauty gadget, Shark might slightly edge ahead.
