I relate if you’re the maid of honour for a 2026 bride, because why is it so hard to track down suitable party houses for an epic hen weekend break? Not only are large party houses – we’re talking five bedrooms plus — significantly rarer than their three-bedroomed counterparts, but naturally, lots of the best Airbnbs in the UK have strict rules on loud music and parties.
But with a best friend who wants to see out her single years on a Princess Diaries-style staycation with all her friends, I had to find some options – and after hours (read: days) scrolling and messaging, I think I’ve finally found one.
But to spare you the same frustrating fate, I’ve taken it upon myself to round up a host of chic and stylish house rentals, farmhouses and holiday cottages with enough space for your entire clan, as well as five-star amenities. You know, a full-sized heated pool, a cinema with a killer sound system, a disco with a dance floor, a hot tub, tennis courts, a Love Island-style fire pit and, of course, stunning views that’ll double as the perfect backdrop for countless Insta snaps.
I also scoured countless locations, including North Wales, Norfolk, the Lake District, Herefordshire, Hampshire, Scotland, Cornwall and the Peak District. So, read on to discover the best party houses currently available for rent in the UK, whether you’re seeking a hen party house or a getaway space for your biggest birthday party yet.
How I choose the best party houses:
Step one: drawing up a list of must-haves and must-have-nots, which included:
- No mention of a ‘no party’ rule in their list of house regulations
- Space for eight or more guests — and no rooms crammed full of rattling metal bunk beds
- Generous spaces built for hosting — we’re talking kitchens with at least two ovens, plenty of chairs and a huge island
- Outdoor space — enough for thre DIY sports day of your friend’s dreams
Where we haven’t been able to personally vet a location, we read countless reviews from previous vistors, plus checked in with hosts and owners to ensure they were happy to be featured.
