Sultan of Pahang’s 66th Birthday

The Royal Family and the State of Pahang celebrated the 66th Birthday of Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah of Pahang at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan on the 26th of July, the Sultan’s second Birthday following the end of his tenure as the XVI Yang Di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia last year.

The Sultan of Pahang was joined by Tengku Ampuan (Queen) Azizah and Crown Prince Hassanal Ibrahim for the Investiture of State Honours and Medals in the temporary Throne Room of the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Late Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah is pleased to bestow the ranks of greatness and medals to 58 individuals at the Pahang Darul Makmur State Convocation Ceremony of Greatness Degrees in conjunction with the 66th Anniversary of the KDPB Principality Day Sultan of Pahang held at Abdulaziz Palace here today.

The Sultan gave a Speech in the temporary Throne Room of the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

His Royal Highness stated that the concerns and hardships of the people are always heard and deeply felt, especially as the rising cost of living places growing pressure on their daily lives.

“I do not want my people to live in fear and deprivation. Therefore, I have directed the Pahang State Government to enhance, expand, and strengthen the implementation of the Makmur Pahang Initiative.

“Targeted aid must be increased; welfare funds must be boosted; food assistance, job training, and public housing programmes must be broadened not just announced, but implemented earnestly and effectively.

“I want all those in power in this state to feel the heartbeat of the people not just on the ceremonial stage, but in the reality on the ground,” His Royal Highness declared.

His Royal Highness delivered the royal address at the Investiture Ceremony of State Honours of Pahang Darul Makmur, held in conjunction with His 66th Official Birthday Celebration at Istana Abdulaziz today.

In addition, His Royal Highness touched on the urgent need for improved healthcare facilities to ensure that every citizen enjoys the right to safe, timely, and quality medical treatment a fundamental right that must be guaranteed by the government.

“I have been informed that some districts in the state still lack fully equipped and full-scale district hospitals. I have also been made aware that the proposal to build the Maran District Hospital has been discussed for some time, yet it has not been realised.

“Indeed, the construction of this hospital must be expedited, as it is no longer optional but a pressing and clear necessity.

“I want the people of Maran to no longer be entirely dependent on hospitals in Temerloh or Kuantan for basic and emergency treatment. I want every citizen no matter where they live to feel protected and cared for,” His Royal Highness firmly stated.

The Royal Family of Pahang and State Dignitaries had gathered to celebrate the Birthday of the Sultan.
