I’m A Beauty Editor And These Are The 13 Products I Finished This Year

As a beauty editor, it’s safe to say that I am inundated with beauty products. Every day, my desk is littered with boxes of skincare, makeup, haircare and wellness from brands that are long-established and recognisable, as well as newcomers trying to be the next big thing.

Like a dutiful (and beautiful) guinea pig, I smear, smudge, swipe and slather myself in these offerings to see what works (and what doesn’t) to help you loyal readers make heads and tails of it all.

As the end of the year fast approaches, I can’t even begin to count how many products I’ve tested out, but what sticks out from the lengthy list are all the products I finished. More often than not, after a few weeks of trialling, I’ve seen enough to know whether or not these new discoveries can be elevated to bathroom cabinet status – and usually, they don’t make the cut.

But, this year, there were plenty that did. Products that I desperately squeezed the life out of, before cutting open and scooping out the last remnants. Curious? Keep reading to find out all of the beauty products – across skincare, haircare, makeup, wellness and more – that this beauty editor actually finished, down to the last drop.

LP Staff Writers

Writers at Lord’s Press come from a range of professional backgrounds, including history, diplomacy, heraldry, and public administration. Many publish anonymously or under initials—a practice that reflects the publication’s long-standing emphasis on discretion and editorial objectivity. While they bring expertise in European nobility, protocol, and archival research, their role is not to opine, but to document. Their focus remains on accuracy, historical integrity, and the preservation of events and individuals whose significance might otherwise go unrecorded.
