Sabrina Carpenter’s curly bob is the carefree cut of the summer

Braided bobs, short bobs, long bobs. At this point, you think we’d be all bob’d out – but with 2025 shaping up to be the year of the bob, we’re seated and ready for another. Thankfully, a new bob has entered the villa: meet the curly bob.

Just days after her appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, where she opted for her signature blonde bombshell bouffant, on Sunday Sabrina Carpenter debuted the new short style at her 26th birthday celebration.

In a candid snap posted to Instagram, the “Espresso” singer opted for a middle part, showing off her dirty blonde roots with a cascading halo of curls falling down to her shoulders – a literal angel. Bringing more texture to the party, her retro curtain bangs were naturally curled too.

Posing next to a vintage freestanding bath, Sabrina’s carefree cut was paired with a vintage lace and polka dot dress from Christian Dior’s AW97 collection. “26 years of jokes not landing,” she quipped in the Instagram caption.

The perfect style for girls with natural curls, to achieve the effortless off-duty look, start with wet hair and add the curl cream of your choice before blowdrying the ends or if you’d prefer, use a curling iron to add in natural-looking curls. Don’t fret if you’ve got straight hair – simply air dry some braids to add more texture and waves. Cute, carefree, and looks like you woke up like that.
