“Everyone knows I love a lot of styling products,” says Appleton. “We effectively put them into a mask, so not only are you getting the nourishment and conditioning effects that you need in your hair, but you also get a great performance when you style it. Real women want to keep up with what’s going on, and that falls on styling. And for me, you have to put back what you’re taking out. The beauty of hair is in the condition. Whatever style it’s in, if your hair is not in good condition, it won’t come off looking its best.”
Color Wow Money Masque: GLAMOUR’s Verdict
I’m not usually a hair-mask girl, but after putting this one to the test, I’m hooked. The texture really is nothing like anything else I’ve tried. It’s almost like a gel-cream that melts right into my hair, the way a great moisturiser would. It smells amazing, like a super-bougie spa, and I like that you have to leave it on your hair for only a few minutes for it to get to work (no sitting around in a wet towel and not touching anything for 20 minutes).
I have fine hair, but a lot of it, and it’s fairly damaged from a few years of bleaching. I find most masks make my hair feel great, but end up doing more harm than good since they weigh me down. After I rinsed out the Money Masque, though, my hair felt incredibly soft and bouncy. It looks refreshed despite being in major need of a cut and colour, almost like I’ve had a salon treatment, even if I just air-dry.
My one complaint? I wish it came in a tube. The giant shiny tub is gorge, but it is also very slippery in my hands.
Still, I’ve used it about three times now, and I can confirm that my hair definitely just feels and looks overall better than it did a week ago. Consider me one step closer to reaching J.Lo levels of perfection.
