With so many viral beauty products doing the rounds, it’s not always easy to know what’s actually worth the hype. But every now and then, something comes along that really delivers – and for me, that’s e.l.f.’s Halo Glow Liquid Filter. I’ve had it in my makeup bag for a couple of years now, and it’s still the one I reach for the most.
If you’re a Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter stan, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try. Not only is it half the price, but it gives your skin that same fresh, healthy dewy glow – the kind of glow that makes people stop and ask if you’ve been away.
One of my favourite things about this product is its versatility. I love that I can use it as an all-over foundation when I want a more natural light coverage look, under foundation as a glow-boosting primer, or tapped on the high points of my face for some extra shine. It’s genuinely a product I’d buy time and time again.
Even better? It’s currently on sale for £12 (down from £15) in the early Prime Day sale – so I’ll just be here stocking up my basket.
My review of the e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter:
- Tester: Shani Cohen, GLAMOUR’s Beauty Commerce Writer.
- Shade: Shade 5 Medium/Tan.
- Tested for: Over 1 year.
- Pros: Versatile can be used as a primer, foundation or highlighter. Contains hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and squalane.
- Cons: Not super long-lasting due to it being light coverage.
As someone who’s got olive-toned skin that’s relatively dry and occasionally reactive, I’m always a bit wary of anything too heavy, shimmery or fragranced. But this primer/foundation/highlighter all-in-one has a creamy, hydrating texture that feels lightweight and comfortable – rather than greasy or sticky. Not only that, but I love that it doesn’t cling onto my dry patches or caused my skin to break out.
