Jennifer Lopez Tries the ‘Toasted’ Mani Trend With an Unexpected Nail Shape

Put a finger down if you’re ready to embrace “toasted” nails as the go-to manicure for fall. Tom Bachik, manicurist to stars like Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez, is going all in on making this the It look of Q4 2025, one star at a time, and TBQH, it’s working.

Gomez was the first to wear the style, which is basically bronzer for your fingertips, not a colour so much as a sheen. “Think golden, bronzed, and toasted,” Tom told Glamour. “Ask for or use pearlescents, iridescence, mirror chromes, even cat-eye effects to make any colour toasted.”

For Lopez’s mani, which she wore while doing press for Kiss of the Spider Woman on October 5, Tom used Tweezerman tools for shaping Overdone by Aprés Nail polish for colour and the Super Clear top coat from his own product line, the artist revealed on Instagram.
