Christmas, Valentine’s Day and now Mother’s Day — it’s been a demanding few months in terms of gift giving. However, it’s nice to make those around you feel loved. But for the woman who does SO much, offering practical and emotional support 24/7, it’s important to get it right.
Thankfully, I consulted the experts and asked Glamour mums what they’d like to receive on Mothering Sunday, this year falling on Sunday, March 15th 2026. And while most insisted they didn’t want their offspring spending much, we managed to squeeze a few options out of them.
Their top picks? Wweet treat-packed gift hampers, gold jewellery adorned with her birthstone, premium pyjama sets, cashmere loungewear and dopamine-boosting home decor from the likes of The White Company and Anthropologie. Oh, and when it came to luxury gifts, LED face masks, designer handbags and sauna blankets were mentioned repeatedly.
A quick reminder that mums come in all shapes and forms. So, whether you’re seeking Mother’s Day gift ideas to treat your mother-in-law, grandma, or your older sister who’s a mum-to-be herself, we think they deserve to be thanked with something more than a gift card or a bottle of prosecco.
How I choose the best Mother’s Day gifts:
Because I wouldn’t recommend anything to you that I wouldn’t to a pal, I personally review as many gifts as possible across all sectors: fashion, beauty, wellness and interiors.
For those wondering, once an item arrives in my hands, I rate it against the following criteria:
Why you can trust me:
I’ve been a shopping writer for almost three years, my 9 to 5 packed with reviewing new launches and pre-existing bestsellers. As a result, I’ve tested everything from new sexual wellness launches to running trainers, menstrual products (AKA period pants) and reviewed literally thousands of gifts. The reason? To create easy-to-shop edits that spare you hours of doom-scrolling and wasted investment.
But to ensure I’m an expert in the above areas, I regularly attend press days and quiz shopping experts on their recommendations, as well as interviewing sex therapists, activewear designers and nutritionists for valuable insight. As a result, you could say I am more of an expert on the subject of wellness, shopping and gift-giving than your average online shopper.
In fact, I was recently asked to share my tips live on Radio 4, where I suggested we collectively skip a restock of socks in exchange for a DIY gift hamper or bucket list experience gift.
