Keir Starmer accused of ‘sucking every last bit of freedom’ out of Britons in blistering takedown by GB News star: ‘Autocratic and controlling!’

Dr Renee Hoenderkamp has launched a blistering attack on Sir Keir Starmer and the Labour Government, demanding they stop “meddling in our lives”.

Speaking on GB News, The Saturday Five star declared she was “tired” of the Prime Minister and his Government “sucking every last bit of freedom and agency out of me”.

Hitting out at Sir Keir, Dr Hoenderkamp expressed her outrage to GB News viewers: “I’ve been really tired this week. Really, really tired, and I just want you to talk about it.

“I’ve been properly tired, not the need a nap kind of tired, but the state is slowly sucking every last bit of freedom and agency out of me kind of tired.”

Taking aim at Labour policy, Dr Hoenderkamp declared she is “tired of everything being controlled or banned” by the Government.

She stated: “Everything’s controlled, banned or about to be. I’m tired of working harder and harder and ending up with less. Tired of paying more taxes and getting less in return.

“Tired of Government deciding what my child learns about sex, family and everything else at school and treating me like an interfering bystander. I’m tired of being told that maybe I won’t even get a pension, the one that I’ve slogged decades for.”

She added: “I’m tired of owning a car that I love, but I can’t actually drive it meaningfully. 24 miles an hour, wrong turn here, wrong road there, wrong day, wrong engine, and another fine.”

Expressing her fears for the kind of society her daughter will grow up into, Dr Hoenderkamp told GB News viewers: “I’m tired of being told that my boiler has to go, that I can’t fly, can’t eat meat, can’t burn coal, or can’t use petrol.

“That apparently everything I learnt at medical school is now wrong-think. Facts? Offensive. Biology? Optional. And heaven forbid that I might call a spade a spade and feel the heavy hand of the law.

“And the worst bit, my daughter will grow up not even knowing the joys that she has lost. She won’t drive a car, she won’t own anything, she won’t work in the way that we understand work, that fulfilling work.”

She stated: “This global overreaching, ever more autocratic and controlling Government is sucking the fun and spontaneity out of life with every ounce of freedom. It is exhausting.”

Reacting to Dr Hoenderkamp’s take on the Labour Government, fellow Saturday Five star and Political Commentator Bruce Hamill said the current state of Britain is down to “successive Governments forgetting what the backbone of this country is”.

He told the panel: “It’s consistently poor Governments, consistently bowing to minority needs, forgetting what the backbone of this country is, which is the working class construction, the blue collar jobs, the people that go out at 6:00am every morning.

“They’re forgetting what family life is, what it is to enjoy life, what people need to do that.”

He concluded: “Systematically there has just been a decline, a massive rise in national debt, a decline in social standards, a decline in in living standards, which never, ever, ever seems to get better. And the worse thing is, I would say the British people have a strong constitution, they stand proud.

“But we’re getting to a point in society now where people are in despair. Lots of people are in despair, and they’re crying out to say, when is this going to end?”
