Reform UK’s Branch Secretary for Epping Forest has hit out at Labour’s “broken Britain”, declaring she “prays Nigel Farage gets into Government” to sort the migrant crisis.
Speaking to GB News, Karen McIvor delivered her damning verdict of Sir Keir Starmer’s Government, stating it is “mistake after mistake”.
The latest review into the Home Office concluded there was a “manifest failure” to “get a grip” of contracts made with the private firms tasked with housing asylum seekers.
The report said: “The Home Office has undoubtedly been operating in an extremely challenging environment but its chaotic response has demonstrated that it has not been up to the challenge.”

Launching a scathing attack on Labour, Ms McIvor fumed: “I just feel that it’s broken, everything is broken at the moment, and I just think it’s one story after another of mistake after mistake.
“And I just think that we need to dodge all of these contracts and find out exactly what’s going on.”
Calling for “radical change” within Government, she added: “I feel like the Government panic. They don’t plan, they just react.
“And it’s just mistake after mistake, whether it’s Conservatives or Labour, and I just think we need radical change.”

Asked by host Nana Akua what the solution should be to Britain’s migrant crisis, Ms McIvor called for “transparency” between Government and Britons.
She explained: “I just think we need a lot more transparency. They think the British people are silly and they play with our money, our tax, hard working taxpayers money like it’s a toy. This is serious stuff. The country is really struggling, and I just think they need professional people in professional positions to actually oversee all of these contracts.
“It will be very interesting to know what procedures have they’ve gone through before they’ve actually been awarded any of these contracts, because I know from my working environment, there’s a lot of robust stuff we have to do before we give contracts, and I just feel that this has all just been done so quickly and rushed and panicked.”
Hoping that Reform UK leader Nigel Farage gets into power at the next election, Ms McIvor told GB News: “It’s just mistake after mistake, and I hope and pray that Reform get to be the next Government, because I trust Nigel to sort this out.

“The people I speak to on the street, which is every single weekend, many evenings, everybody is putting so much hope into Reform because all we hear is mistake after mistake.”
Pressed on what Reform would do to house illegal migrants already being housed in Britain, Ms McIvor concluded: “Nigel’s been very vocal with his plans. As regards to the overcrowding in prisons, the foreign prisoners will be sent back to their own countries. As regards to the people that continue to come, Nigel’s said that he’s going to turn the boats around as soon as possible. He said that from day one.
“He’s the only one that said he would take us out of the ECHR (European Convention on Human Rights), it’s just common sense stuff. What we’re seeing at the moment, it’s just really erratic, there’s no plan, and all the asylum hotels across the country, people are just being dumped.
“Why aren’t they stopping the boats? This is never going to stop until we actually have a proper plan.”
