Tribute paid to mental health charity worker – as girl, 13, arrested on suspicion of murder bailed

A woman who died in Swindon has been remembered as a “devoted” mother and “caring” colleague – as a 13-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murder was bailed.

Sarah Forrester, who is in her 50s, was described as an “incredible person” after she was pronounced dead at an address in the Wiltshire town on Friday evening.

A statement from mental health charity The Kelly Foundation, where Ms Forrester worked, said: “Everyone at The Kelly Foundation is heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah.

“She was completely committed to the charity and devoted to her two young children.

“Sarah was pivotal in the work that we do here at the Kelly Foundation and her loss is a hugely traumatic event, not just for us and her colleagues but more especially for her children and family.

“Sarah was an incredible person, kind, thoughtful, considerate, caring and funny and she embodied everything that we hope our charity is and can be.

“She enjoyed her role with us and we all loved working with her, she will be truly, truly missed.”

Kerry Marsh, Ms Forrester’s neighbour in Swindon and friend of seven years, told Sky News: “Sarah was a good friend of mine. She was a kind soul who would help anyone.

“She was a great mum and did so much with her children, and I was lucky enough to class her as a friend.”

Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose, from Wiltshire Police’s major crime investigation team, said on Saturday: “This is a serious incident in which a woman has sadly died.

“We have set up a cordon at the address while an investigation is carried out.

“I can confirm that we have arrested a teenage girl in connection with this incident and we are not looking for anyone else.”

Police have asked people not to speculate about the incident online as this could prejudice the case.
