Golden Globes 2026: everything you need to know, including who’s hosting and predicted winners

Awards season is so back. With a vengeance. Yes, in the darkness and bitter cold that is January 2026, it is necessary to obsess over the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s award ceremonies that take over our consciousness this time of year.

From Jessie Buckley’s predicted win for Best Actress to a massive list of nominations for Sinners, the nominated actors and projects are quite something this year. We can’t wait to see who prevails.

Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Golden Globes 2026, including who is predicted to win.

When are the Golden Globes 2026?

The ceremony will take place at The Beverley Hilton in (you guessed it) Beverly Hills, California. So while it will be happening during the evening of Sunday 11 January, over here in the UK it will begin around 1 am GMT, if you’re up for staying up to keep up with all the news, wins and looks in real time.

Who is hosting the Golden Globes 2026?

Comedian and actor Nikki Glaser will return for the second year in a row to host the 2026 Golden Globes. As well as being a stand-up star, Nikki has hosted FBoy Island and appeared in various Amy Schumer projects such as Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty.

She became the first woman to host the awards solo, and famously called the ceremony “Ozempic’s biggest night.” When she was confirmed as host for 2026, Glaser said in a statement that hosting the Golden Globes was “the most fun I have ever had in my career.”

“I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognise my talent and cast me in season four as a Scandinavian pilates instructor with a shadowy past,” she said.

Where to watch the Golden Globes 2026

While the Golden Globes 2026 will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ for US audiences, it won’t be broadcast in the UK. But as ever, on this side of the pond, we can very easily keep up with what’s going on at the ceremony online through social media, live clips and reports.

Golden Globes 2026 predictions

Of course, there’s no way of knowing who will win until the night in question, but certain nominated actors and films are heavily rumoured to be frontrunners.

For example, Jessie Buckley is predicted to win the Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture for her performance in Hamnet, alongside Paul Mescal.
