“I am beyond thrilled that My Life With the Walter Boys has been renewed for a second season,” Melanie Halsall, who serves as the series creator, showrunner, and executive producer, told Tudum. “We have been overwhelmed by the love and support that the audience has given the show and can’t wait to dive back into the world of Silver Falls and the lives of these characters.”
Netflix accompanied the season 2 announcement with a sweet video of the cast reaction to the news. The video shows actors Ashby Gentry (Alex Walter on the show), Nikki Rodriguez (Jackie Howard), and Noah LaLonde (Cole Walter) in the middle of a photo session on speakerphone with Halsall, who breaks the news to them. “I just wanted to let you know that we been given the green light for a season two,” Halsall announces, and the main trio immediately go in for a hug.
