I’m a Celebrity is back! Ten stars have made their way to the Australian jungle to take part in the not-so-glamorous challenges that Ant and Dec have laid out for them. The first episode, which aired last night on ITV, saw some stars battling snakes and ants, while others found themselves stuck in a “Cockie Van” shaped like a cockroach.
While some of the celebs are practically household names (think Alex Scott, Ruby Wax and Jack Osbourne), others may not be quite so well-known. After last night’s episode, for instance, many of us were probably thinking: Who is Angry Ginge? Naturally, we have a lot of questions about Angry Ginge. Real name? Claim to fame? We’ve got you covered…
Angry Ginge: real name
No, Angry Ginge was not born “Angry Ginge” – his real name is Morgan Burtwister.
Who is Angry Ginge?
Angry Ginge (real name Morgan Burtwister) is a 24-year-old content creator from Salford, Manchester.
Angry Ginge’s claim to fame
Angry Ginge gets his name from his username on Twitch, YouTube and TikTok. And he’s kind of a big deal on these platforms. He has been creating FIFA and football reaction content since 2020 – and over the years, it has amassed millions of views and translated into real-world success.
In 2024 and 2025, he participated in Match for Hope, a charity event in Qatar. In 2025, he was announced as the manager of Yanited, a team in the first six-a-side football league, Baller League UK, which is broadcast on Sky Sports.

This year, he also participated in Soccer Aid, playing for the England team and even being named Player of the Match.

Angry Ginge’s I’m a Celebrity journey so far
Angry Ginge made an impression at Soccer Aid — and, perhaps unsurprisingly, he’s also making an impression in the Aussie jungle. In the first episode of I’m a Celebrity, the social media star found himself beginning his journey at a luxurious villa alongside Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley, Alex Scott and Jack Osbourne.
Things soon got icky, with producers bringing in a series of boxes. The celebs were tasked with reaching into a box of green ants to find the Getaway key fob. Oh, and their heads were placed in boxes containing giant snakes. Lovely.
Angry Ginge held his nerve and secured one of the two Getaway fobs and joined three other celebs in the luxurious Getaway car, where he enjoyed cocktails and canapés on route to camp.
At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Angry Ginge and Ruby Wax had been chosen for the first Bushtucker Challenge: The Divey. We’ll need to tune in tonight to find out what that will involve.
