What started as a staple of any boho babe’s uniform back in the ‘70s has bulldozed its way back into our wardrobes, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon (suede trend, anyone?). Spotted on the Ralph Lauren and Hermès autumn/winter runways, suede jackets – that is; suede bombers, suede trenches and suede biker jackets – are the moment. Prada are undoubtedly responsible for kickstarting their revival back in 2023, Gucci then brought suede into its resortwear 2025 collection, and Gabriela Hearst had fringed beaded iterations sashaying down the runway for spring/summer 2026 (with a matching suede maxi skirt) at fashion week.
