Brown ballerinas are the shoe trend for autumn 2025 – here’s how to wear them

Let’s face it, you need a pair of ballerina pumps in your autumn wardrobe. Comfortable, effortlessly chic and timeless, brown suede ballerinas are back with a bang and promise to complement any pair of jeans.

For years, these shoes were relegated to the back of our closet, overshadowed by the likes of Adidas Samba or loafers. But, like so many other pieces that we once considered anti-trend, suede ballerinas (especially in earth tones like brown) have once again found a place in our hearts and become a safe bet for the return to the office.

The shoe was even worn by the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, herself, who, although in her case she wore them with tailored trousers, confirms the versatility and elegance of this shoe. In her case, they were from Pretty Ballerinas. Brown suede ballerinas can be worn to work with suit trousers or, if you want a more casual look, with any of the trending jeans this season: straight-leg, wide-leg, flares and barrel silhouette.

The best part? These shoes are very easy to find. From stores that are on our usual shopping route, like & Other Stories and ASOS, to luxury brands like Gucci and Chloé. Which ones will you choose?
