How To Style A Brown Leather Jacket For Spring 2026

You might have noticed that the brown leather jacket has risen as the new style staple for this winter, and that’s set to continue into spring. But not all of them are created equal: a few different strains of brown leather jacket have been trending simultaneously.

There’s the chocolate brown versions, which reflect how popular the shade has been this season. There’s also oxblood, another trending hue, especially for jackets and footwear. A cross between burgundy and dark brown, it offers drama and depth while remaining conveniently versatile. Aviator-style jackets have a purposefully worn appearance and are lined with shearling. And then there’s the suede jackets, which offer a softer alternative. Suede is made from animal hide the same way leather is, but it uses the fuzzy underside as opposed to the outer grain.

The one thing they all have in common is that they offer the neutrality of black while adding some extra excitement to your wardrobe. It’s a jacket that’s not just about bracing yourself against the elements, it also elevates your whole outfit. (As every great jacket does!)

So whether you just want a casual but effective outfit formula, or you’re looking to dress your brown leather jacket up, we’ve got you.

Autumnal colours

Since brown is an autumnal shade, it looks great with other hues in this colour palette. Think forest green, burgundy and rust orange. These colours will add some excitement to your outfit without being overly bold. (Not that there’s anything wrong with being bold!)
