How To Style Brown Jeans Without Looking Like Your Granddad

How to style brown jeans is something we’ve been pondering recently. Darker denim tones come into their own this time of year, and as chocolate hues are an autumn/winter fashion trend for the third year running, it seems only right to slot it between the indigo, black and grey jeans we have on rotation anyway.

Our initial reservations on wearing brown jeans? Looking like we’ve raided our granddad’s wardrobe, of course. But we think we’ve nailed it.

How to wear brown jeans, answered:

1. As part of an all-brown outfit

As aforementioned, chocolate is a trending colour in the fashion sphere, and wearing a top-to-toe look is actually one of the easiest ways to do it. Think of it in the same way you would an all-black outfit and it becomes way less daunting.

2. With pink knitwear

3. Accented with burgundy

As brown is a neutral, there are few colours that clash with it – so going wrong is harder than you’d think thankfully. There are colours that complement it especially, though, one of which is burgundy; an equally-rich hue that’ll bring out its warmth.

4. With a white T-shirt and trainers

It sounds basic, and it is, but it works. When all else fails or you don’t feel like being particularly creative, your best T-shirt and favourite fashion trainers come in clutch – no differently to how you’d style the other pairs of jeans in your collection really.
