Malia Obama Paired Ballet Flats With the Perfect Nighttime Summer Uniform

Malia Obama’s shoe game remains unmatched. After giving clogs her stamp of approval, the director is now approving another reigning shoewear trend: ballet flats, and pairing them with the perfect nighttime summer uniform.

On June 9, 2025, Malia Obama was spotted leaving dinner with a friend in Los Feliz wearing a pair of black patent ballet flats in a Mary Jane style. Obama’s choice of footwear is the perfect medium between casual and formal, and gives her outfit a coquettish touch without going overboard. By now, we know Malia Obama loves a carryall bag, and she showed off another one in her collection: a large burgundy bag with tied-up handles.

Known to nail a transitional outfit, Obama paired her burgundy bag and Mary Jane flats with a ‘fit that’s perfect for a breezy summer night in California, where temperatures dip a little, but it’s still somewhat humid. She opted for a black light cardigan vest, which she wore buttoned up over a white baby t-shirt, paired with flowy, wide-legged black pants, which could potentially be linen. She added a summery touch wearing blue-tinted sunglasses perched on her head. Notes are being taken!
