On Jan 9, many celebrated Catherine, Princess of Wales, also known as Kate Middleton‘s 44th birthday, with the British royal family members leading public tributes on their social media accounts. While the most popular tributes were from her parents-in-law, King Charles III and Queen Camilla, one royal family member’s tribute was missing; and it has royal fans talking.
In case you missed it, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Princess Eugenie omitted any tribute to Kate on her big day. While she could’ve done it privately, it’s common practice for the royal family to post tributes online as well. Plus, the timing of it all has people putting puzzle pieces together.
Along with reports claiming Princess Eugenie is still on her father, exiled royal Andrew Windsor-Mountbatten’s, side amid all of the financial and Jeffrey Epstein controversy that led to his titles being stripped, many noted that she and her elder sister Princess Beatrice skipped Kate’s Christmas Carol service last month.

So, is there a feud afoot between the Princesses? It’s unclear.
Royal commentator and broadcaster Neil Sean claimed to Fox News Digital back in Nov 2025 that “Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie received personal invitations for this year’s ‘Together at Christmas’ from Princess Catherine’s office,” showing potential amicable ties.
There were rumors of a feud back in 2023, and again in 2025, when insiders and experts told The Express: “According to very good sources, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice are seemingly struggling to remain cordial with Prince William, Catherine, and Charles. It stems from the deal organised by William, the Queen, and Prince Charles to remove their father Prince Andrew from royal duties following his disgrace in recent years.”
