David Beckham’s life has been marked by countless remarkable moments — not only on the football pitch but also beyond it.

After becoming the owner of Inter Miami CF, one of his greatest milestones, the former footballer has now received a royal distinction from the British monarchy.

The Royal Honor Received by David Beckham, President of Inter Miami

Surrounded by his family, David Beckham was officially knighted by King Charles III, who led the ceremony on behalf of the British royal family.

The monarch bestowed upon Beckham a commemorative medal in recognition of his contributions to sports and society, as well as his long-standing commitment to humanitarian causes.

The emotional moment was shared on social media, showing the precise instant when the King performed the traditional sword tap on Beckham’s shoulders — the symbolic gesture that grants him the prestigious title of “Sir.”

A Long-Awaited Recognition

This ceremony follows another honor Beckham received earlier this year, when he was included in the King’s Birthday Honours List, marking his continued recognition for service and excellence.

Beckham’s Emotional Words

Following the ceremony, Beckham spoke to the BBC and expressed his pride:

“I couldn’t be prouder.People know how patriotic I am – I love my country. I’ve always said how important the monarchy is to my family. I’m lucky enough to have travelled around the world and all people want to talk to me about is our monarchy. It makes me proud.”

Joining Football’s Most Elite Circle

With this distinction, the Inter Miami president joins an elite list of football legends who have been knighted — including Geoff Hurst and Bobby Charlton, England’s 1966 World Cup champions, as well as Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United’s legendary manager, among many others.
