Is the Royal Family Coming to America in 2026? Breaking Down the Rumors

Some members of the royal family might be traveling to America next year.

Multiple reports claimed in November that Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton would be taking a trip to the United States in the coming months. Page Six was first to report the news on November 24, with a source hoping that “all the senior royals” will take the trip.

Us Weekly has reached out to Buckingham and Kensington Palace for comment.

The royal family’s apparent travels to the United States would take place months after US President Donald Trump made his second state visit to England this past September.

Will the Royal Family Be Traveling to America in 2026?

A source confirmed to Us that there is a trip to the United States being planned.

Which Royal Family Members Will Be Traveling to America?

Details about the trip have yet to be confirmed and it’s unclear which royals will be in attendance.

Several reports have declared that William and Kate will travel alongside their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, but no official announcement has been made.

Why Is the Royal Family Coming to America?

A source told The Sun that trip is, in part, due to the World Cup being hosted next summer. The report, published late last month, claims that the soccer matches are the reason younger members of the royal family would be in attendance.

A separate report from The Sun stated that King Charles III and Queen Camilla were invited to the United States in April for a visit to the White House. (A source told Us that the royal family’s America trip was indeed set for April.)

There are still several questions surrounding the trip and, as again, the palace has yet to share any details or official plans.

Would the Royal Family See Prince Harry in America?

If the royal family were to travel to the United States, the tension between Harry and members of his family would bring another layer. Us Weekly reached out to Team Sussex for comment regarding William and Harry crossing paths in the United States next year.

While Harry has been at odds publicly with his family since leaving the U.K. with wife Meghan Markle in 2020, he has started to slightly mend things with his father, Charles. When Harry traveled home in England, he and Charles sat down for a closed-door meeting — their first in nearly two years

“They were catching up personally about the children and what has been going on with Charles and his health,” the source told Us Weekly exclusively at the time. “There were hugs and tears at the meeting.”

However, it’s unclear where Harry stands with his brother.

“I think that Harry’s relationship with his brother is a different beast than his relationship with his father,” royal expert Kristen Meinzer told Us in August. “But perhaps if Charles warms more to Harry, William will feel compelled to follow his lead.”
