Kate Middleton has reportedly earned the deep admiration of palace insiders, with many now referring to her as the “true Queen in waiting.” A royal source told RadarOnline.com that courtiers see Kate as Diana “without the chaos that once surrounded her.”

The Princess of Wales has become the royal family’s “great unifier” during a time of transition within the monarchy.

Grant Harrold, who served as King Charles’ butler from 2004 to 2011, recalled meeting Middleton when she was still dating Prince William. From the beginning, he said, her regal qualities stood out.

“That girl was a Queen in waiting in every aspect,” he said. “She is the perfect Queen material, and you can so obviously see that. Everything about her — the way she carried herself, the way she spoke, the way she interacted with people, her kindness, her beauty.”

“Kate has always been revered by the royal family — she’s their steady hand and moral compass,” the source said. “The late princess had heart and charisma, but Kate brings composure and quiet strength. That’s exactly what the monarchy needs now.”

Harrold described how, even as a 22-year-old guest at Highgrove, Kate Middleton displayed natural elegance and confidence. “She was, if I can say, the modern-day Princess Diana. She was everything you can imagine — she is a beautiful and intelligent woman,” he said.

Harrold also remembered Middleton’s warmth toward royal staff, explaining that, “Diana used to do things at Sandringham to make the staff laugh by poking her head out the window and pulling faces, and Kate was doing the same kind of thing,” he recalled. “She never made people feel beneath her.”

Since her marriage to Prince William in 2011, Kate Middleton, now 43, has become central to the modern royal family.

A royal aide highlighted her growing influence: “There’s a deep recognition that Middleton’s public image is what’s holding the monarchy together. She’s seen as reliable, warm, and scandal-free — everything Meghan Markle wasn’t. The late Queen adored her, Charles trusts her, and William relies on her completely.”
