Meghan Markle goes ‘scorched Earth’ with Princess Kate clash

Meghan Markle was savaged after her latest announcement appeared to clash with the Royal Family’s schedule. The Duchess of Sussex has been receiving negative press after a series of announcements coincided with major royal events, such as her shock return to acting and the launch of her As Ever brand in its first physical store, while the Prince of Wales was in Brazil.

The latest announcement came a few days ago, when Meghan announced her Netflix Christmas special, which she previously said would get released in November, will now be dropping on December 3. The same week, the Royal Family will be hosting a state visit for Germany, while the Princess of Wales’s annual Together at Christmas carol concert is taking place on December 5. Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told TalkTV: “She told the Fortune Most Powerful Women summit in Washington DC that her holiday special was going to be released in November. And pushing it to December 3, I thought, was intentional because Catherine has her annual Christmas event on December 5.”

Host Mark Donal added: “So she moved her event to the same week. That is scorched Earth policy.”
