HELLO!’s Royal Editor, Emily Nash, is in Brazil with the Prince of Wales as he begins his visit to mark the fifth year of his Earthshot Prize awards.

Prince William spoke to HELLO! in an exclusive interview ahead of this year’s Earthshot awards ceremony in Brazil. Prince William, who is father to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, seven, revealed the motivation behind his passion project.

“As a father, I think constantly about the world my children will inherit. I want them to grow up surrounded by nature, opportunity and a sense of hope about the future. But I also know that unless we act boldly now, that future is at risk. The Earthshot Prize is about turning the tide, about proving to our children that we are willing to fight for their tomorrow.”

Here’s our exclusive.

LP Staff Writers

Writers at Lord’s Press come from a range of professional backgrounds, including history, diplomacy, heraldry, and public administration. Many publish anonymously or under initials—a practice that reflects the publication’s long-standing emphasis on discretion and editorial objectivity. While they bring expertise in European nobility, protocol, and archival research, their role is not to opine, but to document. Their focus remains on accuracy, historical integrity, and the preservation of events and individuals whose significance might otherwise go unrecorded.
