Alexander Ogilvy has quietly emerged as one of the most eligible royals in Britain as t grandson of Princess Alexandra and 60th in line to the throne slowly begins to emerge in the public eye.

The 29-year-old Ogilvy has maintained a low profile while building a career in the military and private sector after he recently graduated from the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst and was commissioned into the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry.

His disciplined appearance during the passing-out parade earned him attention from royal watchers and media alike whilst he has also balanced royal obligations with academic achievement.

“The hottest royal you’ve never heard of,'” reported Daily Mail editor Richard Eden, showing the growing interest in the former head boy at Merchiston Castle School, where he achieved top grades before taking a gap year in Australia.

Alexander also has a playful side, recalling a quip in an interview when asked to describe himself he sarcastically responsed by saying he is a, “fraudulent, insecure, man.” He added that he enjoys practicing a British accent as a hobby, too, continuing the sarcastic tone.

His grandmother, Princess Alexandra remains a significant influence as she served as a bridesmaid at Queen Elizabeth‘s 1947 wedding to Prince Philip and maintains a close relationship with Alexander, attending major family events alongside him.

On that front, Alexander Ogilvy‘s public appearances are rare, but he made headlines when videos of him attending Queen Elizabeth‘s funeral went viral on TikTok as these moments highlight the growing interest in the bachelor.

Alexander Ogilvy dated Robert F. Kennedy‘s granddaughter

Alexander has previously dated Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo, who is granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy and the daughter of former NYC mayor Andrew Cuomo – who lost the 2025 election race to Zohran Mamdani.

The couple met while attending Brown University and were seen at a Kennedy Human Rights Foundation event in 2017 and the relationship lasted about a year, before the Royal Family member and niece of the current Secretary of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr, went separate ways.

After which Alexander was linked to society figure Isabella Charlotta Poppius but despite previous high-profile connections, he is currently single, allowing speculation about his status as one of the most eligible bachelors in the royal family.
