Royal Tiaras at the Danish New Year’s Gala

Queen Mary wore the Diamond Bandeau Tiara she had created from an unused rose-cut Diamond Girdle in the Danish Crown Jewels, which was retrieved from Rosenborg Castle.

Queen Mary has had a pair of Diamond Earrings created from two massive Diamond Pendants also in the Crown Jewels alongside the upper portion of the Earrings of the Danish Crown Diamond Parure.

Queen Margrethe II wore the Nassut Tiara and Gold Earrings which were a gift from the people of Greenland on her Ruby Jubilee, and were created from gold coins mined in Greenland. The Tiara was paired with a pearl necklace, the Collar and Star of the Order of the Elephant and the Badge of the Order of the Dannebrog.

Princess Marie wore the Mauboussin Nuit Claire Tiara, which she has exclusive rights to wear but is still owned by Mauboussin.

She also wore her Sapphire Earrings, and a new Diamond Necklace, with the Collar and Star of the Order of the Elephant and Queen Margrethe II’s Royal Family Order.

Princess Benedikte wore the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Fringe Tiara, which had been an heirloom of her late husband’s grandmother.

Princess Benedikte also wore the Necklace and Earrings from the Amethyst Suite she had inherited from her mother, Queen Ingrid.

Another heirloom was the two Diamond Bracelets which were created from Princess Benedikte’s section of Queen Alexandrine’s Diamond Sautoir.
