Royal and Noble Guests and Relatives celebrated Wedding of Count Ludwig von Matuschka and Countess Marie Henckel von Donnersmarck at the Stift St. Paul im Lavanttal in Austria on September 13th, followed by a Reception at Schloss Wolfsberg.
Count Ludwig von Matuschka, son of Count Wilhelm Nikolaus Pius von Matuschka and the late Maria-Luisa von Voss, married Countess Marie Henckel von Donnersmarck, daughter of Count Andreas Henckel von Donnersmarck and Princess Johanna von Hohenberg, at the Stift St. Paul im Lavanttal in Austria, followed by a Reception at Schloss Wolfsberg, the seat of the Henckel von Donnersmarck Family. Countess Marie is a granddaughter of Princess Marie Adelaide of Luxembourg.
On September 13, wedding bells rang in St. Paul im Lavanttal—nothing unusual in itself, but on this Saturday, two special lovebirds exchanged vows: Countess Marie Henckel von Donnersmarck and Count Ludwig Matuschka tied the knot in the abbey church. According to a report in the Kleine Zeitung, 450 guests were invited.
Among the invited guests were several prominent faces: In addition to Ulrich and Christoph Habsburg-Lothringen , WAC President Dietmar Riegler and his family were present, as were numerous aristocrats from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Luxembourg.
The dinner was held at Wolfsberg Castle, where the bride’s father, Count Andreas Henckel von Donnersmarck , and his wife, Johanna, live. As the bride’s father revealed to the Kleine Zeitung, Marie and Ludwig’s honeymoon will take them to Mozambique before they head to England, where they plan to make their home together.
Last year, Count Ludwig’s brother, Count Caspar von Matuschka, married Countess Leonie von Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems, and other brother, Count Vincent von Matuschka, married Countess Hemma von Khevenhüller-Metsch.
